2023 Art Education Scholarships

The Cape Cod & Islands Art Educators Association is offering four (2) scholarships to current high school seniors (or those who have deferred their college enrollment) that demonstrate a proficiency in any of the visual arts, including design, in order to provide aid assistance to attend an institution of higher learning with a focus in the arts. This is a cash award designated for expenses such as art supplies, books, or tuition and will be awarded to the recipient after their first successfully completed semester. Two awards of $550 each.
Award Process and Criteria:
• Applications are due by email to cciaea2003@gmail.com on May 1, 2021.• Applicants will be notified of our decision by email on May 10, 2023.
• The scholarship reception and award ceremony will be May 18, 2023 at 4:30 pm at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis. The winners and their families are strongly encouraged to attend and award recipient’s art work will be on display for the reception.
• The application and all attachments will be reviewed by the CCIAEA Scholarship Committee and all decisions are final.
• This award is based upon the quality of the art presented, promise of successful completion of further study in the visual arts and need.
Application Process:
• Complete this application form, including a one-page personal essay. Include how and when you first became interested in the visual arts, how you have pursued that interest so far, and how you intend to pursue it further in education and life.
• Enclose one letter of recommendation from a faculty member from your high school art department.
• Create a Powerpoint or Google Slide Presentation with five JPG images of your best art work. For each piece include information on the title, the medium, the actual size of the piece, and date completed.
